Almost a century ago, our founder, Sri Sadananda Kamath, embedded into every piece of Abaran jewellery three gems of wisdom: quality, craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Even today, these three nuggets of wisdom guide us in everything we do. While our designs are the epitome of craftsmanship, every piece of jewellery resonates the quality that has preserved our patrons’ trust for almost 100 years.
The Abaran Story
1935
The beginning of a grand voyage. A priceless legacy established in Udupi by Sri. Sadananda Kamath.
1979
Pioneering innovation with the set up of the very first state-of-art jewellery showroom in Udupi by Sri.Madhukar Kamath.
1983
With modest beginnings, he expanded the heirloom with a showroom in Bangalore and subsequently launched the second showroom in 1985.
1985-2000
The business grew in colossal proportions and set high standards for other jewellery outlets in the city.
2000
Following the footsteps of his forerunners, Mr. Pratap Kamath joined the league and became a part of this epic journey.
2003
The amalgamation of both the showrooms and the launch of Bangalore’s finest jewellery showroom at West of Chord Road.
2004
Upholding the tradition of being the leaders, Abaran became the first jewellery outlet to obtain the ISO 9001 certificate.
2005 - 2007
De Beers conferred the Best Showroom Award three years in a row and the Best Diamond Product Innovation Award.
2008
Abaran won accolades at the Platinum Guild International Awards and was declared Best Showroom for Customer interaction and Service.

2009
The legacy of prosperity continues with the grand opening of an annex for Diamonds and Silver jewellery. Exclusively!
2010
Abaran becomes the first for yet another: ‘Bride & Bliss’ one full floor that is completely dedicated to Bridal jewellery.
2011
Prestigious National Jewellery Award for Best Jewellery Design and De Beers chooses Abaran as its first associate in India.
2012
Abaran receives ‘The Best Marketing Award’ at the Retail Jeweller Awards
2014
The beginning of 2014 started auspiciously for us, with Abaran’s Managing Director Pratap Kamath receiving the Young Achiever Award and Mr. Pratap Kamath was also listed as one among the 50 Movers and Shakers of the Indian Gem and Jewellery Industry by The Art of Jewellery magazine.
