Emeralds for Elephants

Emeralds for Elephants

The World Land Trust and Wildlife Trust of India collaborated with Zambian emerald company – Gemfields to recruit ten world renowned Indian jewellers, where Abaran partnered to create a 10-piece collection, showcased in the ‘Emeralds for Elephants’ Exhibit by WLT.
Inspired by Elephants, the ‘Emerald for Elephants’ was established to support and protect the critically endangered Asian Elephant Habitats through wildlife corridors. These wildlife corridors not only aid in protection of elephants but, other substantial wildlife too, by reducing the human-animal conflict that usually results in horrid scenarios.
The ‘Emerald for Elephants’ collection was adorned and promoted by the stunning Madhuri Dixit-Nene and auctioned by Sotheby’s in 2011, where the proceeds were utilized to uplift this noble cause.
